Astragalus can be added to smoothies, soups, and stews, and the powder drunk in water or juice in shot form.

A simple steeped tea is not enough to get the benefits of astragalus. A decoction gives you full benefits.

1 tsp to 1 tbsp of herb per 2 cups of water in a covered pot on the stove simmered for 20 minutes. Let cool. Drink up to three cups per day.
