Linden is often used for colds, flus, and bronchitis, and associated chest congestion and fever.  Linden is also commonly used for anxiety, nervous tension, and its reputation for prevention of cardiovascular and circulatory disorders, such as arteriosclerotic hypertension and swollen ankles, and is sometimes combined with hawthorn for this purpose. And luckily for us, it tastes wonderful as well!


Simply add some linden to a cup, pour boiling water on it and when it’s cool enough, drink!
The longer you let it steep, the more mucilage will infuse into the water. If this is what you want, for example to quell a dry cough or improve moisture in the tissues, then great! If not, you may want to let it steep less time.
