Suggested use:

Tincture - alcohol:
15-25drops in a small amount of water, 1-3 times a day before food or on an empty stomach.
Ingredients: alcohol, sulfur-free licorice root

Tincture - alcohol-free
Safe for skin use as well
20-25 drops in a small amount of water, up to four times per day before food or on an empty stomach.
Ingredients: vegetable glycerin, sulfur-free licorice root

Capsules
If using licorice capsules for digestion/heartburn, take 1-2 capsules before a meal. As healing in the digestive tract improves, one may reduce to only before some meals, only before bed or upon waking or stop it altogether.

Ingredients:

sulfur-free licorice root, 400 mg

Root Pieces
Add a few slices of root per mug of water. Bring to a light simmer for 3-5 minutes, adding water if necessary.

Root Powder
Add 1/2 teaspoon to 1 teaspoon of licorice root to a cup of freshly boiled water. Let steep for 15 minutes or more.
If using it for digestion/heartburn, drink a cup of tea before a meal. As healing in the digestive tract improves, one may reduce to only before some meals, only before bed or upon waking or stop it altogether.

Those with high blood pressure or the risk of high blood pressure should only use licorice under the supervision of a physician. If you have a medical condition, are pregnant, breastfeeding, or take medications, consult with your doctor before use.
